Establish & maintain the distributor network within the designated territory (Midwest, United States) Effectively train distribution and end-users in product knowledge, applications & merchandising techniques to maximize potential sales of hydraulic filter products.

Implementing your own territory business strategy that will achieve or exceed annual sales and profit goals.

Develop Brand awareness in Industrial & Mobile Hydraulic Markets

Continuous feedback of industry trends with marketing and engineering

Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the territory's distributors, implement addition, replacement and cancellation to the distributor listing.


Candidates most successful in this role possess some or all of the following :

Degree or diploma is preferred but not necessary (engineering or technical emphasis an asset) with a minimum of 3 years industrial or technical sales.

Sales experience in the industrial marketplace

Hydraulics/fluid power experience strongly preferred.

Strong sales aptitude with excellent communication and organization skills.

Strong mechanical/technical aptitude, and the ability to learn new technologies through product-driven training.

Ability to manage time and territory working out of a home office location within a territory.

Project management experience preferred.

Ability and willingness to travel at least 60%.

Bilingual skills a strong plus.

Engineering Technologist, Canada

Description:

Main Filter Inc. is looking to fill the position of Engineering Technologist, who, under the direction of the Engineering Manager and Operation Coordinators, will primarily be responsible to prepare engineering designs, drawings and related technical information. The successful applicant will be required to communicate clearly with team members, customers, supervisors and upper management in both written and oral communication. As well, they will be expected to develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches.

The required skills for this position are drafting and mechanical drawing experience, mathematics and physics, the ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings and the relationships between the finished product and the system. Knowledge of the qualities of metals, plastics and other materials, of manufacturing processes and of construction methods and standards is required. A complete understanding and working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) and design techniques, problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure is another requirement.


The Engineering Technologist must possess the following:

  • degree or diploma in a manufacturing-related field
  • three years of related experience
  • certifications or licences appropriate to manufacturing industry
